Our Story
St. Vincent de Paul Los Angeles is an international, Catholic volunteer organization that serves the needy of any religious background free of charge. We were founded in Paris, France in 1833 by a compassionate college student, Frederic Ozanam, and for over 100 years our Vincentian volunteers have served the suffering in Southern California.

1904 First conferences in Los Angeles were established
1969 Opened the Los Angeles Thrift Store
1945 Opened Circle V Ranch Camp
1980’s Opened Cardinal Manning Center
2004 Opened the Long Beach Thrift Store
Our Services
Lunch distribution window open M-F 10-12 except holidays.
Monthly family food distribution 10-12 on first Friday.
Monthly fundraiser on 5th Sundays after all Masses
Personal assistance on a case by case basis, call 323-791-9773
We help the needy become self-sufficient by providing financial and emotional support, food, clothing, furniture, appliances and resources to connect those disadvantaged to helpful resources in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Donations to our thrift stores make our work possible.
